Kissdate

How we handle your data

Data, security and your rights, in plain terms.

Data controller

Your data is controlled by the private, non-commercial operator of the site. You can get in touch through the site's contact form.

Deletion

Data is kept only as long as needed and then deleted, unless the law requires it to be kept longer. Server logs are held briefly and then erased.

Your data protection rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you can access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. These rights can be used through the contact form on this site. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the United Kingdom supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Data security

Data travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Only those who need access have it, and suitable measures protect against loss, alteration or unauthorised access.

Server logs

When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical data, including IP address, timestamp and browser type. It keeps the service secure and is deleted after a short period.

What is collected

Only the data needed to reply to you is collected, and no special category data is requested: your name, an email address and, if you wish, a phone number, plus your message and technical data such as your IP address.

Recipients

Your data is not sold and is not shared without a lawful basis. Our host, 20i Limited, is a processor under Article 28 of the UK GDPR.

Updates

We update this policy if the law or the service changes. The version published here is the one that applies.

Purposes and lawful basis

Your data is used only to run the site, keep it secure and reply to you. The lawful basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR), with consent where required (Article 6(1)(a)). Your data is never sold or rented.

Cookie notice

Only cookies needed to run the site are used. Advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and you can withdraw it at any time. You can also refuse cookies in your browser.
